Activity such as searches, saved homes, inquiries, scheduled visits, page views, device/browser information, approximate location, referring pages, and interaction events.

How we use your information

To operate the service: show verified listings, schedule visits and connect tenants with owners through Home Yahan.

To verify identities and listings so both sides can trust the marketplace.

To respond to enquiries, send OTPs or transactional updates, call or message you about your search, listing, visit, requirement, support request, or service interest.

To improve matching, prevent fraud, secure the platform, measure website performance, and understand which services are useful to visitors.

To show, measure, and improve advertising campaigns on platforms such as Google, Facebook, Instagram, and other ad networks, where permitted by law and platform policies.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

We may use cookies, pixels, tags, SDKs, server logs, and similar technologies to keep the website working, remember preferences, measure traffic, prevent abuse, and understand ad performance.

If enabled, tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads tags, Meta Pixel, or similar advertising tools may collect or receive information from our website and use that information for measurement, conversion tracking, remarketing, audience creation, and ad personalization, subject to their own policies.

Where we use remarketing or custom audience features, we may use website activity or hashed contact information to reach people who have interacted with Home Yahan. We do not intentionally send sensitive verification documents, exact property documents, payment data, or government ID numbers to advertising platforms.

Lead forms and communications

When you submit a form on our website or through an ad platform lead form, we use the information to contact you about the service you requested.

We may contact you by phone, email, SMS, WhatsApp, or similar channels for transactional updates, service follow-ups, and relevant Home Yahan offers. You can ask us to stop promotional communications at any time.

Service or safety messages, such as visit updates, listing verification, account access, or important policy updates, may still be sent where needed to provide the service.

You can remove saved homes at any time, and ask us to close your account.

You can opt out of promotional communication by replying to the message where available or by contacting us at the email below.

You can ask us not to use your contact information for advertising audience matching where this is technically available and legally required.

Sharing and disclosure

Exact addresses and personal contact details are shared only as needed to arrange visits, support enquiries, verify listings, or complete a rental process.

If — and only if — you tick the broker-sharing option when you post a requirement or make an enquiry, we may introduce you to brokers and agents we have approved who can serve it. A summary of that requirement, such as city, locality, budget and timeline, is then shown to approved brokers with your name and phone number masked, and your contact details are shared only with a broker who asks for that specific requirement, who may pay us a fee for the introduction. If you do not tick it, only Home Yahan contacts you. You can change your mind at any time using the contact details below, and we will take the requirement off that list.

We may share information with service providers that help us run the platform, including hosting, database, analytics, advertising, communication, email, security, and customer support providers.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to prevent fraud or abuse, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.

We do not sell personal data for advertising. If any law treats an introduction fee, or certain advertising or analytics sharing, as a sale or sharing of personal information, you may contact us to request applicable choices.

Security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including access controls and secure transmission where applicable.

No online service is completely secure. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information through open text fields.
